AssistRx is Hiring an Infrastructure Engineer I Near Orlando, FL
As an Infrastructure Engineer Level 1 specializing in Windows systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our IT infrastructure. You will work closely with senior engineers to ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of our Windows-based systems. Linux experience is preferred, but not required. This position offers an exciting opportunity for growth and development in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of Windows (and Linux) server environments
- Support and troubleshoot issues related to Windows server infrastructure, including but not limited to Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Collaborate with team members to implement security best practices and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for Windows and Linux servers
- Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades and migrations
- Monitor system performance and reliability, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively
- Assist in the development, implementation, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Document procedures, configurations, and system changes to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with internal standards
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in Windows server administration and infrastructure management
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience managing Windows servers
- Strong understanding of Windows server operating systems (Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022), including system security, access controls, patch management, and vulnerability remediation
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- 2-4 years of experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
